Meet Team Amanda Anthony!

This is Team Amanda Anthony’s first year to participate in Mamie’s Poppy Plates fundraising. Amanda’s daughter Peyton was born into Jesus’ loving arms on Easter weekend on April 3, 2021.

Amanda finds comfort in the timing of Peyton’s birth. “ It was such a dark day when we lost Peyton and still is sometimes…just like when Jesus took his last breath. But Joy comes in the morning. Jesus lives and he did it all for you and me and my baby. She knew no pain or hurt from this world. Only love. Pure love from us and her Heavenly Father.”

Amanda remembers getting her plate in the mail and being overwhelmed to see Peyton’s name along with her sweet footprints with her weight and height. “It was validation that my baby was so real even though she was no longer earth side.”

Team Amanda Anthony supports Mamie’s to show other families that they are not alone and to give them a tangible gift to hold to help ease the heart ache of their empty hands. Amanda and her sister have been making team shirts to sell to raise money. Close friends and family have also donated because they know what a difference this gift can mean for a family.
