Loving Liam

Meet Team Loving Liam! Although they have contributed to Mamie’s Poppy Plates through a variety of avenues, this is the first year for Team Loving Liam to participate as a fundraising team. Liam had alpha thalassemia major and passed due to hydrops fetalis five years ago.

Linh, Liam’s mom, still remembers the exact moment she received her plate.

Seeing her son’s hand and foot prints was a beautiful reminder of the life that

was created. She remembers turning her plate over to see that it had been

donated in memory of Olivia Faith Beebe.

Team Loving Liam wants to pass on that same precious gift to other grieving families. To give them something to hold on to when their hands are painfully empty. They have raised funds through family and friends and have plans for a bake sale.

Liam is now a big brother to Levi and Skylar. Because of the knowledge of Liam’s genetic diagnosis, his parents Steven and Linh along with their doctors were able to make decisions that were life saving for Levi. As a family they want to continue to honor his memory.
